A collection of my ink swatches, all made with a Montblanc 149 14k Oblique Broad Italic on Tomoe River 52gsm. The swatches and classifications are indicative of my personal writing experience in this particular pen.
I am following a transliteration standard that respects the “n” of ん, instead of “m” of the rendaku, so the names of the inks may not always match the bottle. If you feel that I have been inaccurate, please kindly send me a message for review.
The purpose of this is to create a catelogue of inks, and not a definitive research of how each ink interacts with paper and pen. It is for visitors to find a database of inks available in Japan, and I believe the Japan Exclusive inks will be of most interest to you.
